A need for something better.

When my family had to start eating gluten-free we also had a major problem, we were sensitive to rice which is found in nearly every gluten-free product. With years of gluten-free baking experience, I have found the best combinations for my recipes without using rice flour which is found is so many products. I have sourced organic, non-GMO flours and always have food sensitivities and allergens in mind.

The flours I use have a higher nutrient content which means you are eating healthier to help your body on a gluten-free diet. And we think they taste better too!

Sorghum Flour

Along with its low glycemic load factor, Sorghum Flour is ideal for diabetics. Sorghum is an excellent source of dietary fibre, protein, phosphorus, and iron and is a good source of niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, and potassium. Sorghum flour is also high in antioxidants and tannins, both of which can help to reduce inflammation. Sorghum flour is also high in phosphorus, an important nutrient for energy, bones, and teeth.

Millet Flour

Millet flour has a light, mild flavor, making it perfect for sweet or savory baking. It lends a delicate cake-like crumb to baked goods. It adds whole grain nutrition and has a mild flavor, not something you find often with gluten free flours. With a low glycemic index, it digests more slowly to keep you feeling satisfied longer. It’s also high in antioxidant and protein, as well as important nutrients like iron and magnesium. Millet flour, in particular, is great for heart health, as it can help to lower cholesterol thanks to its soluble fibre content.

Gluten-free Oats & Oat Flour

Many people are curious about oats as there are two versions with one being gluten-free. Oats are naturally gluten-free and it is the process of manufacturing that introduces gluten from other sources on equipment. Our oats are from a source that only produces gluten-free products so there is no worry of cross-contamination. Oats are low in fat and a good source of fibre, iron and other nutrients. Pure oats provide fibre and nutrition often lacking in the gluten-free diet.

Flax Seed

Flax seeds are loaded with nutrients being a great source of omega-3s and contain micronutrient antioxidants like Vitamin E. It also gives a boost of protein, just like an egg would.

Vegan Margarine

To obtain dairy-free baking, we use top quality vegan margarine that is non-hydrogenated with no trans-fat and low in saturated fat and is also a source of omega-3s.
